Queens Hall Reopen: COVID Safety Arrangements
Queens Hall reopened on Monday 14th September, for regular
group hire activities that are currently permissible under Covid-19 restrictions, as a COVID Secure Venue.
If you attend classes at the Hall please check with your
group leader if your activities are restarting and note any room/time changes.
While we are trying to accommodate the return of anyone who wants to and are
able to do so, under current legislation, there will be the need for some
cancellations and adjustments. Please bear with us while we try to manage this
challenging situation. Keeping both the building and the public safe is
our priority and we appreciate your flexibility and patience to support this.
Face coverings must be worn before entering the building and while accessing communal areas within the Hall. Your group leader will advise if you need to wear one during your session.
A one-way entry and exit system will be in place and you must wait outside (our entrance foyers/waiting areas will be closed) for your session to start or to collect anyone after classes.
Hand sanitiser is available upon entry and all group leaders are required to sign a Covid-19 Hire Agreement and provide an activity risk assessment to manage social distancing and hygiene arrangements.
Our kitchen is closed but drinking water is provided in each of the activity rooms. Please provide your own drinking container and take any refuse home with you.
We ask that all groups exit the Hall as soon as their activity has finished: social gathering is not permitted.
While we are giving priority to our existing customers on an evening we have rooms available during the day and in particular the Main Hall is a large well ventilated space suitable to hire for permitted activities. We are especially keen to host groups that support the local community and promote physical and mental health during these exceptional times.
While social gathering remains restricted we are not allowing [or similar] events that encourage people to congregate without being able to reasonably distance. However we are accepting bookings for 2021 on the basis that they may be subject to change/cancellation. All bookings require a visit to Hall to discuss arrangements and the hirer must carry out and provide a Covid-19 risk assessment in advance of the booking going ahead. The Parish Council Office Team are here to help you through this and answer any questions throughout the booking and hire process.
Please note The Parish Council office currently remains closed so an appointment will need to made to discuss any booking arrangements. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for Queens Hall questions and queries in the first instance.
